First Shift Program

The First Shift program is designed for new-to-hockey families to experience the game of hockey at its best, while reducing intimidation around equipment requirements, helping players understand rules of the game, addressing potential safety concerns, and providing a memorable experience.

For only $229, each player receives:

6 On-ice sessions

3 additional on-ice transitional sessions

Head-to-toe equipment, including skates

Personalized equipment fitting and education

Special experiences offered by the Vancouver Canucks

The First Shift program helps facilitate entry into hockey by offering a program that is accessible, affordable, safe, and most importantly, fun! It is open for players ages 6 through 10, and kicks off with a welcome event February 20, 2023, where players will receive their equipment. The 6 on-ice sessions begin March 2023.
